  • Rural & Agrarian Structure – caste-class dynamics, land reforms, green revolution.
  • Caste System – origin, changes, caste in politics.
  • Tribal Communities – integration, development issues.
  • Social Classes – agrarian, industrial, middle classes.
  • Kinship, Family, Marriage in India.
  • Religion & Society in India – communalism, secularism.

Month 5 (Weeks 17–18) – Contemporary Indian Society & Wrap-up
  • Social Movements – peasant, women, backward classes, Dalit, tribal.
  • Industrialization, urbanization, population dynamics.
  • Globalization, liberalization, NGOs & development programs.
  • Revision & PYQ-based answer writing practice.
